I had let the house get cluttered and unorganised. There were no designated areas for things and although I had previously purchased all the things necessary to organise the space, like sorting baskets, storage baskets and shelved units, the task of rearranging everything was overwhelming. I didn’t know where to start and couldn’t find a vision of the end product so I would constantly change my mind and get nowhere.
Then Julie came with her positive approach and gumption, discussed a plan with me, suggesting how to utilise each area of the house to maximise the space and general decorative appearance.
Julie initially came to have a discussion about what my needs were, and have a look at each area to build a picture and make a plan of how best to help me organise my space. She took some photos so she could go away and make a plan of action. She then arranged which day would suit me best.
On the day Julie was punctual and arrived with a positive, happy and relaxed attitude which created a great atmosphere to tackle the day. She cleared all the surfaces and arranged things like paperwork into a box for me to sort through. We then went through all the clothes in the wardrobe and organised them into piles; keep, donate and sell. We moved all the furniture to where it would work best (well she moved most of it by herself). Julie then folded everything neatly back into the wardrobe.
Throughout the day I would sort things into piles (into designated boxes) and Julie was rearranging and organising everything into its new home.
Throughout the experience Julie was approachable, able to work with me or independently and just get the job done.
In just a few hours I was walking around my home amazed at how much more space I had and I could actually see and appreciate things I’d not seen in years. Having Julie sort my house out has made me proud of my home and I am now able to keep on top of things as everything now has a place there.
